The terminator franchise was thought to be dead after the crap T3. The Directors cut is much better then what we saw in theaters. Its more violent and has some nice boobs. The violence taken out really shows why the editing in the theatrical was choppy. McG gets a lot of flack but he did great with the franchise and made it pretty gritty. If you think about it,this film is less of a war film,and more of a survival film. We just meet the characters we all love and see how they managed to live after judgement day.
